At the Psychiatry Department of AVIS Medica, we conduct initial and follow-up consultations for patients experiencing psychoses, acute psychiatric conditions, depression, neurotic and mental disorders, as well as alcohol and substance addiction.
Consultation with a Psychiatrist - Why and When Is It Necessary?
A visit to a psychiatrist is a highly specialized consultation. During your session, we will discuss your concerns, explore possible solutions, and set realistic expectations for treatment timelines and outcomes.
We will review your medical history, current medications, and how they may affect your condition.
If necessary, you may be referred to a psychologist or another medical specialist for further evaluation
When should you see a psychiatrist?
Консултацията с психиатър не винаги завършва с изписването на лекарства – това е една от опциите.
A psychiatric consultation does not always result in medication—this is just one of the possible treatment options. Seeking help from a psychiatrist is not a one-way journey. At any time, you can decide to stop treatment. However, the further you progress, the less likely you’ll want to turn back. After all, psychiatrists do not just treat mental disorders—they heal the soul. And the journey toward healing the soul is one of the most important paths we take in life.
