25 years of “AVIS Medica” – history, professionalism and vision for the future

During a special press conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of "AVIS Medica", doctors, leaders and managers shared personal memories, achievements and challenges along the path of the hospital - from its establishment to the present day.
Dr. Halvajian, Head of the Orthopedics Department, emphasized that “AVIS Medica” has built a recognizable brand that is sustainable both regionally and nationally. “We have created a quality product that is valuable and competitive. We are proud of what we have achieved and the team that is behind it all.”
Dr. Nikolay Slavov, long-time head of obstetrics and gynecology, proudly noted: "10,311 babies have been born here and not a single child has died. This is a profession that brings joy – and it is the most beautiful in the world."
Dr. Magdalena Koyumdzhieva from the neurology department spoke about the difficult beginning and how the trust of patients was the driving force: "People believed us. Today, we are already firmly established and serve over 900 patients annually - with fast and accurate diagnostics, thanks to the joint work with imaging diagnostics."
Dr. Kamen Genov, head of endocrinology, emphasizes the importance of prevention: "Over 16% of the population has diabetes mellitus - half of them do not know it. Therefore, quality pre-hospital care and timely diagnosis are key. I am grateful that we have the opportunity to do everything necessary for our patients."
Dr. Vladimir Andreev, founder of AVIS Medica, emphasized that his dream has always been to create a place where people enjoy coming to work: "We have created a team that has not only endured – but has developed. No one has left us to go to another hospital – and that speaks volumes."
Alexander Andreev, part of the management team, shared the vision for the future: "Our goal is for patients to feel humane treatment and technological support. The introduction of robotic rehabilitation is proof that we are ready to fight for the best - both for children with cerebral palsy and for adult patients who do not yet have funding, but are in need."
"AVIS Medica" is more than a medical facility - it is a cause shared by people who believe in care, professionalism, and humanity.
25 years later – we move forward.
