Pediatrics
Pediatrics is a specialty focused on monitoring the physical and neuro-psychological development of the child's body, as well as diagnosing and treating illnesses in children. Pediatric diseases have their own unique features that distinguish them from those of adults, requiring a deep understanding and professional care for their treatment.
At the Pediatrics Department of AVIS Medica, we conduct initial and follow-up examinations for children from 0 to 18 years old with acute and chronic illnesses, including diseases of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, musculoskeletal system, digestive system, and endocrine system.
We offer comprehensive child consultations, covering physical and neuro-psychological development, including nutrition, immunizations, rickets prevention, obesity, underweight, and the prevention of some hereditary conditions
For diagnostic purposes, we utilize the extensive capabilities of our Clinical Laboratory and modern equipment available within AVIS Medica

Pediatric Diseases and Pediatric Cardiology
Dr. Vasiliy Mihaylov graduated in Medicine in 1984 from the Medical Institute in Pleven. He acquired a specialty in Pediatric Diseases in 1990 at the Medical Academy in Sofia, and in 2007, he obtained a specialty in Pediatric Cardiology. He has been working at AVIS Medica hospital since 2012. Previously, he was a chief assistant at the Pediatric Department and Intensive Pediatric Care Unit at the Medical University in Pleven from 1987 to 1990.

Dr. Darina Tsikova Disheva graduated in Medicine in 1982 from the Medical Academy in Sofia. She obtained her specialty in Pediatric Diseases in 1990. Her qualifications include Pulmonology, Pediatric Intensive Care, and Allergology. She has been working at AVIS Medica hospital since 2007. Previously, she worked at the Pediatric Department and Pediatric Cardiology at the Medical University in Pleven.

Pediatric Endocrinology
Dr. Irina Boyanova Halvadjian graduated in Medicine in 1999 from the Medical University of Pleven. She acquired a specialty in Pediatric Diseases in 2009 and in Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases in 2014. She has been an assistant at the Pediatric Department of the Medical University of Pleven since 2014.

Dr. Mira Stoyanova graduated in Medicine from VMI-Sofia in 1972 and obtained a qualification in Pediatric Gastroenterology in 1979. She has been working at AVIS Medica Hospital and Clinic since 2000.
